What a performance by NorCal Tennis Academy players. Twice per year, the USTA of Northern California holds 2 sectional championship events for each of the age division, 10U, 12U, 14U and so on. The USTA will select the top players from each division to participate. Many of our players were there for the 10U and 12U championships.
For the 10U Girls division, Pramati and Lavanya battled their way into the Finals with Pramati winning 1st place and Lavanya taking home 2nd place. Both teamed up and won 1st place for doubles event. Pramati won this event last year and successfully defended her title as the 10U girls USTA sectional Champion.
For the 10U boys, there were many 10U players participated, the USTA slitted up into different draws. Srikar and Jay took home 1st place as the sectional champions, while Amogh finished 2nd and Vikrant 3rd. Yes, 1st, 2nd, and 3 place singles all won by our players. To top it off, Sirkar and Jay also won 1st place for doubles.
And our 12U players didn’t disappoint. Justin won 1st place singles and was crowned as the 2015 12U sectional champion. James wasn’t far behind with 3rd place. Both teamed up and won 1st place in the doubles event.
