Coaches enjoy the Caribbean sun while staying close to Tennis

Each year, NorCal Tennis Academy puts together a couple of retreats for our coaches.

A short trip took place in March 2016, in the beautiful San Francisco Bay where our coaches had their first sailing lesson.  Mark, a parent of one of our players, happens to be a sailing instructor; he was patient enough to show us the “ropes”.  There were too many ropes on that yacht.

Four months flew by and time for the big trip.  4th of July holiday brought our coaches on our annual trip; this time, it was on in Tropical paradise.  It was hard to resist jumping in the water, they immediately enjoyed their time as soon as they arrived.  Day two was mandatory for continuing education.  Possibly, the best meeting spot so far, just a stone-throw away from the water, the meeting took place in a little cabana.

The on court portion covered the heart and soul program of our academy: competitive development for 10U-12U to prepare for High Performance Tennis. We put our heads together to further improve what we do at NorCal Tennis Academy and set our sight on structuring a High Performance training program for players 12U and over.  We have our sight set on a visit to Academia Sanchez-Casal in Florida.

It can’t just be all work and no fun.  After a very productive day #2, our coaches can spend the rest of their time enjoying their time off.  Here are a few photos taken by coach Artur.
