Professional tennis is no easy task, it doesn’t come easy nor will it ever be. But a good win here and there will make it worthwhile and especially it is your first professional win. Gaby started the ITF* pro tour in mid of February 2018, playing a total of 3 events, not including 1 that she couldn’t get in.
Started her way in Rancho Santa Fe, a great tournament attracting players in the top 100WTA. Very tough match, she lost to the #14 seed, who has high WTA ranking and already have won several tournaments. Gaby managed to save 6 set points to win her first game.
Not until her 3rd event in Tampa, Florida, she fought hard and took home her first Professional win of her career. She followed up with another hard fought win in the 2nd round 7-5, 1-6 and 6-4. In the finals qualies round, she eventually fell to a tour veteran and former top 250WTA.
Congrats! Gaby and back to the back for more training before she hits the tour again in early April, 2018.
Thank you Dunlop Tennis for all of the support.
