A tough journey endured, illness to injury but you just have to keep it going…

Our academy has long been involved with high level Junior Tennis Training, but only since the Spring of 2014, we entered our first 10U USTA Junior Team Tennis League. Sai was a member of that every first team, which dominated the season all the way to the Sectional Championship taking place at Stanford University.

Sai continued to be a big part of our USTA League Program, winning multiple titles with the teams as well as at Individual tournaments.  But his Tennis success was short-lived, crippled by severe allergy and injury.  Sai’s Tennis took a dive, at points he was out of practice for months at a time.  Hard breaking for his coaches and even more so for himself and his devoted “Tennis parents”.

At one point, Sai was the highest ranked 10U player in USTA norcal, but luck wasn’t on his side. He slowly drifted away from competition and training altogether. But we all hope some day he could come back to the game stronger than ever before. After many failed attempts, having to with draw from tournaments repeatedly due to illness and injury. July of 2019, Sai won his first title 2 years at an UTR tournament.

Winning a tournament isn’t new to Sai, but this one means more than most for him as it give him a much needed dose of confidence and belief that Sai needs to be back to the level he once was.  We wish Sai all the best and we are ready to take on the Journey with him, all the way…
