Summer Team Tournament was held at St. Mary’s college of California. Teams from all over the area came together to compete in different divisions, from 12U-18U.

With only 1 team in action, our players competed well and fought hard to bring home the first place Trophy in the 12U Division.

Quick Tip:

Competitive Junior Development

Acceptance into USTA tournaments will depend all on players’ Ranking (not Rating). Ranking points are earned when players win at tournaments, each match win will award points. Player may have high UTR and still might not get into USTA tournaments without adequate ranking.

Relatively, UTR rating is good when players are seeking to play for college Tennis. College coaches first look will be at players’ UTR.

Orange, Green and Yellow Ball Events

USTA Tournaments

Congrats to our players for their incredible tournament results:

International Player

Summer Tennis

Summer is the time for Tennis and Travel. Each year, we welcome players from not only all over the state but sometime from out of the country.

This year, we had Audrey joining us from Taiwan. After 2 weeks of camp, she competed well at tournament and won herself a 1st place finish.

Newport, Rhode Island

The International Tennis
Hall of Fame

The International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island has just inducted Maria Sharapova and the Bryan Brothers. The timing is no coincident, just right before the US Open.

Did you know..?

Before 2012, Junior Tennis in the US was quite different. There was only Yellow Tennis balls that were used in both training and in tournaments? The orange and green balls were introduced around 2011/2012. They are lighter and with less pressure making it easier for less experienced players to learn Tennis. We definitely agree!
