Player’s Highlight

Kairav G.

Nice effort by Kairav, playing at #1 position for our12U green A team, Kairav also subs in to help other teams as needed. Fun fact, Kairav plays with Dunlop SX300 racquet and strung with Black widow string 17g; more power comes with more responsibility and he needs all the help he can get from Dunlop Tennis.

“MOST IMPROVED PLAYER” by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Not an easy feat! A player must be nominated by his/her team’s coach, then all coaches from the conference must also vote together. Congrats! Kristina.

Coaches’ Continuing Education…

USTA High Performance Workshop

In addition to having RSPA professional certification, coach Tom, Daniel and Kyle all have earned USTA High Performance Certification. And, as part of our continuing education, coaches often participate in workshop and training to further improve their coaching. Here are coach Kyle and Daniel at the USTA workshop with USTA national and local coaches.

USTA Individual Tournaments

Professional Players

Sabi C.

Another ITF Pro Doubles Title in the bag… Sabi is also serving as the President of the RSPA San Diego Division.

Did you know about Novak Djokovic..?

Novak Djojovic over the lifetime of his professional records, he only won 54% of all the points. This is coming from what many believe to be one of the greatest players of all time.

Isn’t that incredible statistic? It is another reminder that Tennis is a game of mistakes. It is not a good idea to pursue perfection in tennis or to dwell on mistakes. It is ok to make mistakes, as long as you are improving and at the end of the day, you will need to win slightly more than 50% of the points to beat your opponent.
